Freya’s Story

Freya Gereke is a first generation German American, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, living in the Pacific Northwest. As the queer daughter of an immigrant, they grew up immersed in a variety of cultures including Chicano, Korean, Japanese, German, and many others. The diversity in their community nourished a deep appreciation for global folk arts, and a great respect for Indigenous sovereignty. While they have always been an avid outdoorsperson, gardener, and forager, they now have limited mobility, and their art has become a way to pursue their passions from within their studio on days when their body is unable to take them into nature.

Bespoke is Better

I enjoy sharing my skills with my students at workshops both for the public and in the form of private parties. Art parties are available for birthdays, baby showers, bachelor/ette parties, and more.

I periodically also offer custom watercolor paintings that capture your beloved pets, family recipes, or favorite botanicals. Watch my Instagram for future queue openings.
