Rich Pisolithus: Shades of Earth

This soft and squishy DK yarn comes in various shades of medium to deep brown derived from Pisolithus arhizus, the Dyer's puffball mushroom. This mushroom has beneficial relationships with young trees and shrubs and is provides an incredibly long-lasting dye. I dye in micro-batches of 8 skeins of fewer using wild foraged mushrooms so dyelots often vary significantly from shades of toffee to deep espresso. Available skeins may be from multiple dyelots and include various shades.
